Rome And Salerno

"STINT in Italy has changed my perspective of Christianity in Western Europe. Contrary to my prior belief, their spiritual needs are dire. Although most Europeans' physical needs are accounted for, self-reliance, complacency, resentment towards the Pope, and boredom with archaic Christian practices have developed in many a serious spiritual deficit. They need help from people who have a heart to see students' lives transform into righteous disciples through a relationship with Jesus Christ."

From Galileo to Gucci, Italians have shaped the world. However, few see past their amazing history and culture to recognize that today, there is huge need for the Gospel. While 90% of Italy claims to be Catholic, fewer than 10% attend church more than once a year.Protestant churches are split, weak, and independent in the post-Christian, humanistic culture.

To the average Italian college student, Christianity is irrelevant and churches are for tourists and old people. Campus Crusade for Christ is bringing the light of Jesus to future world-shapers on university campuses in Salerno and Rome.
