“Our team met so many people in Durban who were eager and ready to hear the Gospel. Those who already knew Jesus believed He was sovereign and loving, in spite of the devastation surrounding them in the country. My time there challenged and grew me in my walk with Christ like I couldn't have imagined. The Lord is clearly at work in South Africa; people are ready to know Him and they just need someone to tell them!”

South Africa
As Africa’s “superpower,” South Africa has the biggest economy, greatest resources, finest universities, and yet one of the highest crime rates on the continent. For the last 15 years South Africans have struggled to find stability following a half-century of apartheid where the white minority government separated the black and white communities through resettlement, imprisonment, intimidation, and murder.
Campus Crusade for Christ is now working on the university campuses of Durban. We are also partnering with churches and local ministries in serving this region that claims the highest HIV infection rate on earth. This diverse community of primarily African Zulus and Indian Hindus has been very welcoming and many are responding to the Gospel.
